About the Photography National Juried Show
The Richard Low Evans Gallery at the Art Center will showcase an impressive collection of over 120 meticulously juried photographs, featuring the exceptional work of local, regional, and national artists. The Judge for the 2025 Photography National Juried Show is Chris Hefferen. Chris is a native New Yorker with many years of experience working in Film and Television across the country. He is an award-winning producer/director and commercial photographer. Chris is a versatile photographer and video producer with a sharp eye for visual storytelling across a wide range of subjects. From capturing the character of a home in real estate shoots, to showcasing the texture and detail of food, to highlighting the beauty of natural landscapes- Chris brings creativity, precision, and a passion for storytelling to every project.
With experience in portraiture, design, and video production, Chris helps businesses and individuals bring their vision to life through compelling imagery and cinematic video. Based in Blue Ridge, he is known for adaptability, attention to detail, and ability to make every shoot feel effortless and collaborative. He’s participated in various photography communities over the years, including the Professional Photographers of America and is known for imagery that is crisp, clean and impactful in both stills and motion. It’s been said that he has a unique eye for composition and color.
The Opening Reception is free and open to the public and features light hors d’oeuvres, a wine bar, beautiful artwork, and more!
