Intro to Woodcarving Workshop with John Thomas and Reid Carney
This workshop will introduce students to wood carving including tool safety, and basic tool usage will be emphasized. Students will learn the safe procedures for carving using a knife, and be introduced to sharpening, stropping, check-cuts, push-cuts, stop-cuts and paring-cuts. Tools will be available to use or bring your favorite knife. In the April workshop, students will work on carving a butter spreader. Limited seating, so please sign up early.
